ESG Questionnaire

This questionnaire supports the evaluation of businesses with a focus on freight flow coalitions in inland water transportation and concentrating on Economical, Environmental and Social aspects. All three aspects have the same impact on the final outcome. Each aspect can be weighted differently according to the associated criteria.

The overall objective is, to provide guiding business input based on self-assessment, also usable as preparation for a financing request in a later stage.

For this purpose we foresee different levels of self-assessment as described in the headlines (Economical, Environmental and Social).

The questions and comments should be understood as mere hints so that additional considerations can be made and the project can be realized and strengthened. It should be interpreted as self-evaluation and optimization tool.

As the focus lies on transportation and logistic activities, we need always to consider all related costs as well as the environmental impact. In general, it is our understanding, that the main competitor of inland water transportation is the road (truck) as the trucks offer flexible and door to door solutions in competitive prices and in a convenient way.
